investigating the past

Have you ever thought why people from the past draw paintings?? Well here are some reasons that our awesome teacher Ms. Reiser  taught us!!

One of the paintings that me and my partner Dylan was looking at was a picture of animals running. It basically has horses in it. It seems like the horses are running, maybe looking for shelter because of a storm. The social scientist predicted that, it could be a hunting ritual or used in a ceremony.Or it could also be that it was a unsuccessful hunting trip.

Another painting found is a paintings of a man in a bird mask and a bird standing on sticks with a bison the bison has a spear in him. Some social scientist predicted that it could be a memory of a successful hunt. This painting might also be used for a ceremony or a ritual.

Another cave painting is a painting of horses walking on the edge of a rock and a bull as if he is running away from something. The bull looked like he ran away from a person because there looked like there was a saddle or a blanket on the bulls back. Social scientists predict that the artist tried to capture the "magical powers" of that moment. Or it may have also been used in a ritual or ceremony.
