Collaborate Constructively ( Lit Circle)

The benefits of working with a friend is that you can correct each other's mistakes and you can help each other to get a better grade. To get a better grade you can help one another make the writing more complex. By working with your partner they can help you get better on your weak spots. My weak spot is writing an important passage. While working with my partner he helped me get better on my weak point.  It is also enjoyable because you don't have to have so much pressure doing the lit circle as your friend/ partner can help and correct your mistakes. This is why I think it is so great working with a partner.

One obstacle that I overcame was my weak spot in the lit circle passages. My partner helped me improve on this by giving me advice like put alot of details, take some evidence from the book and write the page number of the sentence for the evidence you took from the book.  He also taught me to put in a simile. An example of a simile would be: " Just then it hit me like a boulder".

I don't have a new understanding of the book because I think I already understand it very well.

Lit Circle Reflection

In humanities we are doing lit circles. Lit circles is when we read a book and write a mini report on the chapters we are assigned every week. In lit circles we must write 2 important passages, 2 questions that cant be answered very easily, 2 answers for each question, make 2 connections reactions from the book an we have to find 2 vocabulary words that we don't know from the book.

During my literature circle discussion my group tends to get really exited of our book Hatchet. In the lit circle we were talking alot about the book hatchet we soon came to an understanding of the book to make it clearer. However we also found out even if we read the same book we had a different point of view of the story. With this we were able to learn more about each others point of view which is a good thing. In our discussion we made connections about our life. One of my connections are of our past literature circle Call it Courage. I said that it was both a survival book.

Our group managed to come up with a obvious prediction that he will survive and be able to make a fire to help him survive. We also know he will be able to get out of the forest because he is the main character so if he doesn't make it there is no point on making the book.

Lines of Symmetry

I took a picture of a wooden vase. This wooden vase has one line of symmetry, the line of symmetry is going strait down from the middle. The sides of the vase intersects.
